Southern Brave head coach Charlotte Edwards has announced four more signings to join her at The 1st Central County Ground for The Hundred this summer.
England all-rounder Sophia Dunkley is the stand-out name. She will be joined by Hampshire’s Fi Morris, Sussex’s Paige Scholfield and fast bowler Lauren Bell, a 19-year-old who impressed across last year’s Kia Super League.
The quartet will join up with Anya Shrubsole, Danni Wyatt, Suzie Bates and Stafanie Taylor.
Edwards has also announced that she will fill two more of the places in her 15-strong squad off the back of a series of training sessions which will see young, local players compete for their place in the Brave roster.
The former England captain said: “I’m delighted with the players we’ve signed and I’m looking forward to the tournament starting.
“It’s important to get a good mix of players, players who have played at international level and domestic players who can contribute on the field but also learn and develop their game.
I think we’ve got a great group so far, all of our players have performed and made good contributions in the KSL which will stand them in good stead for The Hundred.”
Southern Brave play two matches at The 1st Central County Ground during this summer’s The Hundred. They take on Oval Invincibles on Friday 31st July and Manchester Originals on Wednesday 12th August.
Tickets are available to Sussex Cricket Members with 50% off until Friday 31st January before going on general sale on Wednesday 8th April.
Elsewhere, Sussex captain Georgia Adams has been signed by Oval Invincibles.
