Sussex were beaten by eight wickets in their Second Eleven Trophy match against Gloucestershire at Preston Nomads on Tuesday.
Openers Luke Wells (38) and Tom Haines (19) put on forty for the first wicket, while Usman Khan chipped in with 33 at number five, as Sussex were dismissed for 186 batting first.
Gloucestershire made light work of the chase, with a 106-run third wicket-partnership between Scotland internationals Matt Cross (52*) and George Munsey (63*) taking the visitors over the line in the 31st over.
Tom Haines (1-34) and Usman Arif (1-41) were the Sussex bowlers to take wickets.
The 2ndXI are next in action on Friday 3rd May for another Trophy fixture against Surrey at New Malden.
