Phil Salt wins Porsche Performance of the Month for September

Phil Salt was named winner of the ‘Porsche Performance of the Month’ award for September following his stunning knock in our Vitality Blast quarter-final against Worcestershire.

The incredible innings saw Salt hit 72 off just 40 balls as the Sharks hunted for consecutive places at Finals Day.

With five fours and five sixes, Salt’s impressive performance was one of three shortlisted for September’s award in a poll voted on by the @SussexCCC followers on Twitter.

Delray Rawlins, who hit 58 against Worcestershire in the Specsavers County Championship, and George Garton, who scored 59 with the bat against the same opposition, were the other nominees.
