Sussex’s explosive batsman Phil Salt will rejoin Pakistani side, Lahore Qalandars in the Sydney T20 Quin Series that starts next month.
The tournament features teams representing the Qalandars, Auckland Aces from New Zealand’s Super Smash and Australian Big Bash sides Hobart Hurricanes, Sydney Sixers and Sydney Thunder.
Salt was part of the Qalandars side that won the Abu Dhabi T20 Trophy earlier this month, batting at number five and keeping wicket.
The 22-year-old averaged 38.5 from his three innings, contributing 37 not out off 20 balls during his team’s win over Yorkshire in the group stage and 26 from 15 balls as the Qalandars beat South African outfit, Multiply Titans, by 15 runs in the final.
The Sydney T20 Quin Series gets underway on Monday 5th November, with a final on Friday 9th November. The Qalanders play their first match against Sydney Thunder Development XI at Pratten Park at 3pm on the opening day.
