Phil Salt has become the seventh Sussex player in this year’s T10 League after being called up by the Punjabi Legends as a late replacement for Pakistan international Shoaib Malik.
It has been a whirlwind couple of days for the 22-year-old wicketkeeper-batsman. His call-up for the ten-over-per-side competition in Sharjah that starts today follows on from his selection in yesterday’s Pakistan Super League draft.

Phil will join up with Sussex teammate Chris Jordan at the Legends and there will be plenty of other familiar faces among the seven remaining sides. Jofra Archer is part of the Sindhis squad, Laurie Evans and Tymal Mills are with Rajputs, Rashid Khan is with Maratha Arabians and Luke Wright is part of the Bengal Tigers team.
Archer, Evans and Mills are the first Sussex players in action in this year’s tournament with their teams contesting the opening fixture.
