Nine Sussex stars are among thirteen players signed today by Southern Brave for the men’s and women’s The Hundred in 2021.

Freya Kemp, Tara Norris, Carla Rudd, Paige Scholfield and Danni Wyatt will all feature in the Brave’s women’s roster, while George Garton, Chris Jordan, Tymal Mills and Delray Rawlins will form part of the outfit’s men’s squad.

The four men join Sussex teammate Jofra Archer at Southern Brave. The England superstar was retained by the Ageas Bowl-based side in October. Hampshire’s Liam Dawson and James Vince have also been added to the Brave’s squad today.

Middlesex’s Maia Bouchier joins the Sussex quintet in signing for the women’s team today. England’s Anya Shrubsole and West Indian Stafanie Taylor had already been confirmed in the squad.

The inaugural edition of The Hundred – delayed from this year because of the COVID-19 pandemic - will be played at the height of summer and feature eight city-based teams from Manchester, Leeds, Nottingham, Birmingham, Cardiff, Southampton and two in London. It will be screened live by Sky and the BBC.
