Match Preview: Sunrisers v Southern Vipers, Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy

Southern Vipers begin their Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy campaign against the Sunrisers at The Cloudfm Ground in Chelmsford on Saturday.

In what will be the first ever Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy match, Charlotte Edwards' side will be hoping for a historic victory when play gets underway at 10:30am. 

Saturday's clash is the first of six group stage matches in the one-off 50-over competition for the Vipers, with a return fixture against the Sunrisers, and encounters with Western Storm and South East Stars both home and away, scheduled across August and September.

A 14-player squad has been announced for the Vipers' first Rachael Heyhoe Flint Trophy match, with England's Danni Wyatt featuring.

Georgia Adams will captain the side, with eight of the 14 players who have travelled to Chelmsford having represented the Southern Vipers in previous seasons.
