Jofra Archer speaks exclusively to Sussex supporters ahead of IPL auction

From Hove, to Bangladesh, to Hobart. It’s already been an incredible winter for Jofra Archer, who in a matter of months has become one of the hottest properties in world cricket. But Jofra-mania could be about to reach boiling point, with our man one of the most sought after players in this weekend’s IPL auction.

Despite countless requests from the Indian media to speak to the game’s newest superstar (not to mention his preparations for Hobart Hurricane’s push for the Big Bash semi-finals), Jofra made the time to speak exclusively to the Sussex supporters who have followed his journey ever since he arrived on the South Coast in 2014.

Via our friends in ‘Hove-bart’ (who struggled a bit with the pronunciation of Hurstpierpoint!), we asked Jofra to assess his prospects in the IPL auction and to tell us what messages from Sussex fans - and a former England captain - have meant to him while he’s been away.
