Graham Irwin appointed scorer for Lord's test match

Sussex Cricket would like to congratulate our second-team scorer, Graham Irwin, on his appointment as a scorer for the test match between England and India that begins at Lord’s on Thursday (9th August).

Since 1990, the host venue for Test matches, ODIs and IT20s played in England has been required to provide scorers for both England and the visiting team. 

MCC, as the host for such matches at Lord’s, offer one of each of the two Tests and ODIs played at the ground each year to the Association of County Cricket Scorers (ACCS) to appoint from their members. Selection is restricted to scorers at non-Test match grounds who would otherwise not get chance to score international matches.

Graham has duly been selected to score for India in this week’s fixture.
