Sussex Sharks Women resume their One Day Cup campaign with a trip west to Neath Cricket Ground to take on Glamorgan, looking to build on their positive start to the competition.
You'll have to hark back to May 10 for the last time Alexia Walker's Sharks featured in this tournament. On that day, Sussex completed the first block of fixtures with an emphatic win at Wellingborough, beating the Steelbacks by 76 runs.
It means that, at this stage, the Sharks are sitting third after four matches, with two wins, two defeats and 10 points to show for it. A strong start, with one eye firmly on qualification. Next up, though, is the league leaders: Glamorgan Women. Sussex came mightily close to defeating them in the Vitality Blast at the end of May, and will look to go one better against a side yet to lose in the competition this year.
Team News
Sussex are strengthened by the return of Nancy Harman and Anna Buckle, the latter returning from a short spell with Surrey as Walker names a 13-player squad for the trip to south Wales on Sunday.
Squad: Mollie Adams (wk), Anna Buckle, Izzy Collis, Kali-Ann Docherty, Chiara Green (c), Nancy Harman, Bella Johnson, Anna Lewis, Faye Mullins, Shristi Patil, Talitha Stanley, Poppy Tulloch, Phoebe Wilkinson.
The Opposition
Glamorgan are a side that has seemingly had the edge over Sussex in recent matches, though that gulf appears to be narrowing following some closely-fought matches in recent outings.
Sunday's hosts have started this competition with aplomb: four victories from as many matches have them cruising to the latter stages of the competition, with an imperious top order of Daisy Jeanes, Lauren Parfitt (c) and Bethan Ellis providing the bulk of the runs, whilst Megan McColl, batting sixth, recorded a remarkable century in their last match at Kent.
