George Garton has been selected for the white-ball leg of the England Lions’ tour to the West Indies in March.
The one-day portion of the trip kicks off on Sunday 4th March 2018 with a tour match at the Vivian Richards Cricket Ground in Antigua.
This is followed by three matches against West Indies A at the island’s Coolidge Cricket Ground on Tuesday 6th March, Friday 9th March and Sunday 11th March.
The ECB’s North-South series will then be played in Barbados between Sunday 18th & Friday 23rd March and is likely to include the players who featured in the preceding one-day series.
George has just returned from Australia, where he has spent the last month at a Lions training camp.
During the trip, the 20-year-old left arm fast bowler featured in red and white-ball matches against Queensland, Western Australia and Perth Scorchers, as well as spending time with the full England squad ahead of the first Ashes test match.
George signed a contract extension with Sussex in early November that keeps him at The 1st Central County Ground until at least the end of the 2020 season.
