Durham vs Sussex Sharks

West, north... it's hastily up to Durham for Sussex Sharks for their second Metro Bank One Day Cup fixture, as they continue to rack up the miles in search of a first win of the competition.

There was plenty to praise following Wednesday's narrow defeat to Glamorgan at Neath, with the Sharks reducing the hosts to 54-5. Debutant Toby Munt was outstanding, claiming two quick wickets before making a run-a-ball 26*.

The difference proved to be Glamorgan's sixth-wicket partnership: a remarkable 240-run effort that jumped Glamorgan up to 294-6 in the final over, as Fynn Hudson-Prentice claimed three wickets in that over to earn his five-fer.

And, despite the best efforts from Tom Price (55), Jack Carson (81) and Hudson-Prentice (63) - all three recording half-centuries - there just wasn't quite enough in the tank as the hosts completed a 12-run win.

Unchanged for the trip up to Durham, Paul Farbrace is sticking with the same 14-player squad that featured at Neath on Wednesday.

Nantes Oosthuizen, Freddie Price and Sean Hunt missed out of the opening XI of the competition, and will be pushing for a start this time around at Durham.

The Opposition 

A campaign similar to that of the Sharks' last year, with Durham winning a game fewer as they went on to finish sixth in the group. This year, they're a little stronger: Ben Stokes featured for them in their One Day Cup opener on Tuesday at Derby, and he was in his usual groove as he scored 108* off 123 deliveries to safely guide his side home with just five balls to spare.

A solid start, then, with Friday's day/nighter their first home match of the campaign. A blend of experience and youth in their side, promising young talents in James Minto and Luke Robinson both bowled well earlier in the week, whilst the more mature Graham Clark, Alex Lees and Will Rhodes will be looking for better fortune this time around to provide the runs at the top of the order.
