David Wiese has joined South African franchise Paarl Rocks for the remainder of the country’s ongoing Msanzi Super League T20 tournament.
The all-rounder was initially signed on a short-term basis to cover Cameron Delport’s time at the T10 League in the UAE, but following an injury to Australian Michael Klinger during the Rocks’ match against Cape Town Blitz on Wednesday, Wiese has been added to the squad on a permanent basis.

The 33-year-old has played in three of the Rocks’ four matches in the Msanzi Super League so far, contributing to wins against Durban Heat and Cape Town Blitz.
Paarl currently sit in third place in the table, with a game in hand over second place Nelson Mandela Bay Giants and two in hand over leaders, Cape Town.
The Rocks’ next match is against the Giants in Port Elizabeth this afternoon.
