Sussex’s Danni Wyatt has ended England Women’s tour to India as the side’s top run-scorer.
In the eight innings she played in T20 and one-day internationals on the trip, Danni scored 304 runs at an average of 38.
The 26-year-old’s top score was a blistering 124 off 64 balls made during the second match of the T20I tri-series with England beating India by seven wickets.
Danni scored 213 runs in five matches in that tournament, more than any player from the three countries involved. England reached the final before losing to Australia.
In the three match ODI series against India that followed, Danni made 91 runs in her three visits to the crease. Her 47 off 43 balls in the second match was instrumental to England completing an eight-wicket victory. Ultimately, India won the series 2-1.
Georgia Elwiss, the Sussex all-rounder, also played in the three one-day matches. She took 2-14 from six overs in the first match of the series.
