Both James Coles and Oli Carter made centuries in the first innings of Sussex 2nd XI's clash with Gloucestershire this week, but it wasn't enough to secure victory as the side lost by 7 wickets.
Sussex won the toss and elected to bat first, making a very imposing 451 for 9 before declaring.
James Coles made an impressive 109 runs from 215 balls, whilst Oli Carter made 130 runs from 335 balls.
In reply, Gloucestershire fought back to 303 for 9 before declaring. Bertie Foreman took three wickets, whilst James Coles and Joe Sarro took two. The other wicket went to Joe Pocklington.
Gloucestershire's declaration left them 148 runs behind, but Sussex only managed 152 runs in their second innings with a half-century from Ali Orr, leaving Gloucestershire chasing 301 to win on the final day.
Bracey and van Buuren, both established first-team players, made centuries for the visitors and helped Gloucestershire chase down the total, losing three wickets in the process.
