2026 Rothesay County Championship and Metro Bank One Day Cup Fixtures Announced

The ECB have today announced the fixtures for both the Men's Rothesay County Championship and Metro Bank One Day Cup competitions for 2026, as well as the Women's Metro Bank One Day Cup.

Men's Fixtures | County Championship

The 2026 Rothersay County Championship will commence on Friday, 3rd April, with Paul Farbrace's Sussex travelling to last season's Division Two champions, Leicestershire, in the opening fixture.

The following week will see Sussex's first home fixture of the campaign as we host Warwickshire at The 1st Central County Ground on Friday, 10th April.

The 2026 season will begin with six County Championship fixtures before transitioning to the Vitality Blast - the fixtures of which were announced on Tuesday.

The season will also close with six County Championship matches - the latter of which will see Sussex travel to Utilita Bowl to take on Hampshire on Thursday, 24th September.

Two days later, and it's up to Durham's Banks Homes Riverside for the second fixture of the tournament. Sussex will first host Yorkshire on Sunday, 26th July before next hosting Essex the following Wednesday (29th July) at Arundel Castle Cricket Ground.

The group stage will wrap-up on Tuesday, August 11th at Radlett with Middlesex hosting Farbrace's Sharks.

The Quarter Finals will take place three days later, on Friday, 14th August, with the Semi Finals taking place on Sunday, 16th August.

The One Day Cup final is scheduled for Sunday, 20th September at Trent Bridge.
