The ECB have today announced the fixtures for both the Men's Rothesay County Championship and Metro Bank One Day Cup competitions for 2026, as well as the Women's Metro Bank One Day Cup.
The 2026 Rothersay County Championship will commence on Friday, 3rd April, with Paul Farbrace's Sussex travelling to last season's Division Two champions, Leicestershire, in the opening fixture.
The following week will see Sussex's first home fixture of the campaign as we host Warwickshire at The 1st Central County Ground on Friday, 10th April.
The 2026 season will begin with six County Championship fixtures before transitioning to the Vitality Blast - the fixtures of which were announced on Tuesday.
The season will also close with six County Championship matches - the latter of which will see Sussex travel to Utilita Bowl to take on Hampshire on Thursday, 24th September.

This year's Men's Metro Bank One Day Cup fixtures will be pushed slightly forward than last year, with Sussex journeying to Neath to face Glamorgan in our opening match of the competition on Wednesday, 22nd July.
Two days later, and it's up to Durham's Banks Homes Riverside for the second fixture of the tournament. Sussex will first host Yorkshire on Sunday, 26th July before next hosting Essex the following Wednesday (29th July) at Arundel Castle Cricket Ground.
The group stage will wrap-up on Tuesday, August 11th at Radlett with Middlesex hosting Farbrace's Sharks.
The Quarter Finals will take place three days later, on Friday, 14th August, with the Semi Finals taking place on Sunday, 16th August.
The One Day Cup final is scheduled for Sunday, 20th September at Trent Bridge.

The Metro Bank One-Day Cup Women’s League 2 (Tier 2) will be reduced from nine to eight group-stage games with each county playing each other once this season.
Alexia Walker's side will travel to Leicestershire Foxes on Sunday, April 12th in the opening match of their One Day Cup campaign, with their first home game scheduled for a week later (Sunday, April 19th) when they host Worcestershire Rapids at Hove.
Sussex Sharks Women will also be heading back to Arundel, where they'll take on Middlesex on Sunday, August 2nd - four days after our Men play at the same venue.
The final group game will be on Sunday, August 16th as Walker's side host Derbyshire Falcons. The Metro Bank One Day Cup semi-finals will take place on Sunday, 13th September, with the Final a week later, on Sunday 20th September.
