The Sussex Cricket Foundation offers a unique learning and development opportunity for pupils in Brighton and Hove.

Based at our new Learning Centre students will enjoy a mix of classroom based workshops complimented by off site practical sport sessions and activities. The programme will be delivered by professional coaches and qualified teaching staff.

Sessions and activities will include:

  • Level 1 Sports Coaching Course
  • Practical Sports
  • Personal Social Development, Team and Employability Skills
  • Embedded literacy and numeracy



SCF provision is designed for year 10 and year 11 learners who would benefit from provision in a non-school based learning environment.

The “No Boundaries” programme, is a training programme specifically for those currently unemployed and who are seeking to enhance their employability skills and get back on the road to work.

Funded by the Department of Work and Pensions, Sussex is the first county cricket body in England to work directly with this government arm, focusing exclusively on education and employability and offering a variety of 6-8 week courses, including Employability Skills Programmes and Lone Parents Employability Project.

The “No Boundaries” training programme is specifically for those currently unemployed and who are seeking to enhance their employability skills and get back on the road to work. Current locations include Horsham, Haywards Heath, Brighton and Hove. We currently specialise in working with lone parents and people on health related benefits.

The 8-week employability courses include a combination of classroom based employability skills development, personal social development activities alongside a range of volunteering and confidence building activities. Highlights of the course include improving work skills, taking part in volunteering opportunities, a nationally recognised qualification in employability, taking part in health and well-being activities and great days out.

opportunities, a nationally recognised, no-fail qualification in Job Search and Interview Skills, opportunities to meet with local recruitment agents, a cookery skills session and great days out.
