There are 4 Senior Cricket leagues in Sussex – Please click the sub headings below to visit their websites.
This is the ECB Premier League in Sussex and has four 1st XI divisions, it also has four 2nd XI competitions (Division 1, Division 2, Division 3 (East) and Division 3 (West). Each league contains 10 teams.
At the end of the season, the bottom club in the SPCL Division 4 will be relegated to the appropriate league, either the West Sussex Invitation Cricket League or the East Sussex League, with the winners of each of those leagues being promoted.
This league was formed in 2009 through the merger of the West Sussex League and the Sussex Invitation Cricket League. There are 10 divisions, divisions 6-10 play 40/40 cricket. The winners of this league will be promoted to the SPCL Division 4 and their 2nd XI will follow.
The East Sussex League contains 120 teams in 12 divisions each of 10 teams. The league structure is free flowing such that a club’s 2nd XI can be promoted to any level other than in the same division as their 1st XI. The winner of Division 1 will be promoted to the SPCL Division 4.
The Mid Sussex League contains 5 divisions of 10 teams and is not yet integrated into the league “pyramid” system

LEAGUES, CUPS & COMPETITIONS
SUSSEX CRICKET U10 CUP
8 aside pairs cricket, softball, festival format so teams will play a series of games during the morning. 4 competitions take place across the county (N, E, S, W) with 2 winners from each qualifying for the County Finals which are usually held at Sussex CCC in September. The competitions are a lot of fun and FREE to enter.
ECB U13/U15 NATIONAL CLUB COMPETITION
National competition which is 20 overs aside. Clubs entering will be put into to a draw with the early rounds be based on North/West & South/East divide to save on travel time. Games arranged by clubs and to be played by deadlines set by SCB, traditionally played during the week though can be played at weekends. Club that wins Sussex competition will go into the regional rounds which leads into the National competition. The competition is FREE to enter.
NATWEST ECB U19 T20
The ECB U19T20 competition, a new competition launched in 2015 that was designed to mirror the professional T20 Blast competition giving the players the ownership to plan, organise and create their own T20 Blast atmosphere at their home fixtures. 4 mini leagues take place across the county (N, E, S, W) with the winners from each qualifying for the Finals Day later in the Summer. The competition is FREE to enter though there will be a small charge to cover cost of balls
JUNIOR LEAGUES AND COMPETITIONS
There are 5 Junior Cricket Leagues in the County, each offering a range of competitive opportunities from U9 to U16. Please click on the league to visit their website.

SUSSEX JUNIOR CRICKET FESTIVAL
The SJCF is a hugely well respected competition for clubs to enter in the summer holidays.
The format aids the transition from junior to senior cricket, getting the young people used to playing a longer format.
Each age group plays during one week of the Summer holidays, culminating in a final on the following Sunday.
There are two tournaments to choose from, to cater for different abilities, ‘The Bowl’ for the higher standard & ‘The Shield’ for less experienced.
It costs a club just £25 to enter plus £6 per team.
